"Off: The Green Porch" This old white abandoned house was torn down shortly after I did this painting of the front door. There were still subtle reminders of the inhabitants including a can of Off insect spray and a shovel. I filled the painting with colour while pushing planes back using temperature changes. Cast shadows help describe shape while leading you into the depths of the porch. Is someone staring back from those depths?
