Venice Vaporetto Docks

Away from St Marco Square the crowd thins out and you can see further down the docks where the vaporetto (water buses) dock. In the distance tourists with luggage wait to board. Bridges are frequent where canals merge with the lagoon. The air is humid and the sun is hot. The horizontal lamps and vertical lamp shapes are meant to keep you on a path to the bridge and beyond. Colour patches are dispersed among the foreground to add interest but mostly to push the background back in distance.
