The composition was constructed using the harmonic armature grid. I wanted to create a structured yet harmonious design to emphasise the majestic qualities of the flower. Each flower tip has been carefully positioned to cross an intersection of the diagonals on the armature. There is a strong s shape which directs the eye through the painting
