Misty Meadow
While visiting my sister in the San Bernardino Mountains near Big Bear, a couple years ago, we decided go out for breakfast at a tiny 'hole in the wall' cafe for breakfast. It was late Spring, the weather had been rainy for several days. That morning the rain had stopped, but the mountains were shrouded in a mysterious shifting fog and mists. It was magical. Thankfully I had a small art kit of pastel in my back pack and was able to capture the essence of these scene out the window of the café. Back at the house, I made a few tweaks to the composition and added the highlights. The work in in a private collection - not for sale
