Daisies in the Rain

An experimental work layering several techniques on a piece of raw 10mm habotai silk. Sabori fold and dye technique, then vat eco-dyed with plant material and steamed to fix the dyes. The the cloth was affixed to a support with acrylic clear gesso medium. There followed several layers of stamping, stencils, colored inks, embedding swatches of painted rice paper, etc; each layer alternating clear acrylic gesso medium.
