Playing By The Shore

Playing by the Shore was inspired by the light on a Maui beach just after dawn, the beautiful light that sparkled on the sand, tide pool and the girl playing by the shore was unreal. The light warm color of the sand and hint of ultramarine blue ocean contrasted against the cool dark shadows. With few brush strokes and lots of paint, I tried to capture the fresh spontaneity of this ocean scape.
