A large watercolor from a series of photos and studies of an iron hulled tall ship "Picton Castle" which travelled around the ports of Nova Scotia. I did a few paintings of her including this one, where I was enthralled with the crew on the masts so high above the deck tying the sails. I played with the whole arrangement taking some liberties to make a pleasing composition.
