Painted in plein air using watercolor on a very wet canvas. Working quickly as the light disappeared, my intention was to capture the mysterious feeling of that fleeting time just after twilight- when forms merge and everything loses distinction of value and color, except for artificial light and the last glow in the sky- right before the inky darkness of night sets in.
