"Forget Me Not", oil, was inspired by my time at one of my favorite garden haunts in Oregon where I brought a model to paint. My model had an interesting history- she had won first place in the state in the biggest beauty pageant, becoming Mrs. Oregon. I was intrigued by the subtle color harmonies of the scene, the languid pose of the model, and the s-shaped flow of light amidst the blossoms from the hazy distance to the foreground.
