This is my fourth painting of the boats docked at the marina in Manteo, North Carolina. Manteo was the home of Andy Griffith and is located on a island in the famed Outer Banks of North Carolina. Although the town is picturesque - what always draws me is the water. The inspiration for this picture came from the shadows and lights playing off one another creating deep pockets of rich colors against bleached hues of white.
