This is a plein air I did in the back field of our farm in Door County Wisconsin. It’s only about 50 yards from the corner of our farm house and it was a warm day creating a fog bank in this low spot. I was drawn to the foggy atmosphere, the small corn row stubs sticking through the water, ice and snow. The contrast between the warm colors of the wilted grass and the cool colors of the snow and dark woods was very compelling.
