Setting Day

“Setting Day”finished just in time for this years Setting day. On Tuesday it is the blessing of the Fishers and Saturday is North Rustico’s Setting day. It is a magical time and the excitement starts this week as the boats launch into the water. This painting is done in my new style I’m developing and I am getting comfortable with the bright colours replacing mundane and the blend of detail and loose strokes. This painting is of two local Fishers waiting for the horn to blow for the official start of the lobster season.????
