While participating in the Borrego Plein Air event in California's Anza-Borrego Desert, one afternoon brought winds too fierce to set up an easel, so I hunkered down in the back of my SUV with the hatch up and did a couple of small, rough studies. This studio watercolor was inspired by that day and those small studies.
