Oil on gesso primed board
Inspiration: I planted fig trees in my garden last year and to my delight, I picked some of the fruit and brought it to the studio. Many of my still life paintings include a story with objects
of significance, so I placed the fruit on an old mariners chest brought over from Cuba by my refugee brother in law’s family… it is a life study. A life study which brings together the richness of our past history and life as it continues on.
