If the air is clear, the city of Phoenix positively sparkles. we were lucky our plein air group caught the right day to ascend South Mountain and get a clear view. I was unlucky as shortly before I finished the painting I tripped on a tiny rock and fell fracturing my wrist. who said painting was a safe sport!
