I painted 'Sunlit Hydrangeas' while painting with a group of other plein air painters in and around Innwood NYC. I chose to work in acrylic, because I tend to work fast and bold, and acrylic makes this possible. We painted all day and while the sun was setting I set up for one last painting. This view is in Fort Tryon Park overlooking the Hudson River. The backlit hydrangeas were a magical subject to paint!
