House in Charlotte

My painting is of a beautiful brick house in Charlotte, NC. I must admit the brickwork was challenging... but in the end I am very pleased with the results. It was a commission, but they gave me total freedom. While the house was the most important element, the surrounding tree canopy and gardens played major supporting roles. The light as always was key, I went to the house several times over several days to get to know it. The dogs were a final whimsical touch.
